Submit to TCETC 2011!

TCETC (Teachers College Educational Technology Conference—say it five times fast) is a conference for graduate students related to topics on education and technology.

There is going to be a keynote speaker this year, Shira Ackerman, a TC alum who has worked extensively in children’s media. The conference will be at TC on May 21-22, 2011. It’s a great forum to showcase projects or research you might be working on, to practice presentations you would like to give elsewhere and/or get feedback, and of course to meet other graduate students working on similar projects.

Abstract submission deadline is approaching: March 31st!

Possible presentation topics include (but are not limited to):

* Instructional Design of Online Environments
* Social Software, Web 2.0 Tools
*Human-Computer Interaction, Computer-Mediated Communication, Mobile Media
* Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning
* Games for Learning, Possibilities of Virtual Worlds
* New Literacies, Identity Formation, the Future of Libraries and Museums
* Cross-Cultural Communication, Gender and Technology
* Integrating Technology across the K-12 Curriculum
* Change Issues Related to the Adoption of Technology in Educational Institutions
